What is Whispering Hollow Estate?

WHE is a private, 40-acre event venue. We specialize in weddings, corporate events, bridal & baby showers, and family reunions. We offer an elegant 5,500 sq, ft. lodge, outdoor courtyard, bridal suite, and groomsmen lounge on the property.

What is included in the price of the lodge rental?

When you book the lodge, you receive the following: tables (5’ rounds) that can seat up to 10 guests each, black or ivory linens (if you want a different color, you must rent), Chiavari chairs, a dance floor, bartending service, access to our spacious outdoor patio and fire pits, extra tables for gifts/cards/displays (8’ rectangles), fire place décor, clean-up service, valet parking, golf cart transportation, and more.

Are the other areas of the property included in my lodge rental?

No, the courtyard, bridal suite, and groomsmen lounge are add-ons that must be purchased separately.

  • Courtyard – includes bamboo chairs and shepherd hooks
  • Bridal Suite – includes kitchen, living room area, hair & make-up room, and bathroom
  • Groomsmen Lounge – includes living room area, pool table, work-out equipment, movie theatre room, and bathroom. Skeet shooting is also as a morning activity for the guys for $35/person.

What if it rains the day of the wedding? Is there a “Plan B” for an outdoor ceremony?

If you are planning an outdoor ceremony and the forecast is rain, don’t panic! Our staff will set up an indoor ceremony inside our lodge in front of our beautiful stone fireplace. We take care of moving everything for you, so you can relax! (And we refund your money for the courtyard rental.)

How many guests can the lodge accommodate?

Our maximum capacity is 255 guests.

Do you provide catering?

No, we do not provide catering. We have a list of highly qualified caterers that we recommend you hire.

Can we bring in outside vendors?

We have a list of preferred vendors that we trust and know personally. We strongly recommend them, however you are still able to bring in a vendor that is not on the list as long as we pre-approve them.

How is the bar set up?

You provide the beverages (bottled beer, bottled/boxed wine, mixers, soda, fruit). We provide the bartenders and the ice.

What time can we arrive the day of the wedding?

The bridal party can arrive as early as 8 a.m. the morning of the wedding. The ladies are welcome to bring their hairstylists & make-up artists on site if they rented the bridal suite. The guys are welcome to hang out on the property. If they are participating in skeet shooting, that activity begins at 11 a.m.

Can we come set up the day before our wedding? If so, what time?

Typically, we allow the couple and a few close friends to come the morning before around 10am to set- up centerpieces and other décor in the lodge. We set up all the tables, chairs, and linens (if you rent them from us) for you. You can also drop off all the beverages at this time. This set-up usually only takes an hour or two.

It’s possible that we may have another event going on the day before your wedding. If that is the case, you may drop of your decorations earlier in the week and we will set it up for you the morning of your wedding.

Can we have a rehearsal the evening before?

Your rehearsal will start between 5:30 and 6pm the evening before your wedding in our courtyard. We will run through the whole ceremony for your friends and family so everyone is on the same page. This should only take about 45 minutes.

Even if there is another event going on the day before your wedding, your rehearsal will still be at the courtyard at 5:30 the evening before your wedding.

Do we need to purchase insurance?

Yes! You need to purchase Commercial General Liability Insurance including Host Liquor Liability, in an amount not less than $1,000,000 combined single limit for bodily injury and property damage. This insurance must name Whispering Hollow Estate as additional insured, and a certificate of insurance with endorsement must be provided to Whispering Hollow 30 days prior to your event.
